27장   Making an appointment.

Dialogue 1

Peter : Do you have any special plans for this Saturday?
Nancy : No. I don't. Why?
Peter : Well, I have two tickets to a classical music concert  this Saturday. Will you go there with me?
Nancy : Of course, I will. I love classical music.  When shall we meet?
Peter : The concert begins at seven o'clock,   but I want to have dinner first. How about five o'clock?
Nancy : Sounds great to me. So where shall we meet?
Peter : Well, how about having dinner at my place?  You know, my apartment is close to the concert hall.
Nancy : Sounds perfect. Thank you for inviting me.
Peter : The pleasure is all mine. I'm glad you can come.  I'll see you then.
Nancy : Yeah, this Saturday at your house.

Dialogue 2

Peter : Hi, Nancy. Guess what?
Nancy : What?
Peter : I went to a Mozart concert last Saturday.
Nancy : Did you? You are lucky. I love Mozart.  He is my favorite composer.
Peter : I often listen to Mozart when I feel depressed.

Conversation

Peter : Hi, Nancy.  It's me, Peter.
Nancy : Hi, Peter.  What's up?
Peter : Say, are you doing anything Sunday evening?
Nancy : No, nothing in particular.  Why?
Peter : Well, there will be a party for those who are interested in modern music.
Nancy : Sounds great.  Sure, why not?  Where do you want to meet?
Peter : Why don't you pick me up at my house at seven?
Nancy : Okay.  See you then.

(Pronounciation Clinic)

이미 학습한 going to의 축약형 gonna처럼 want to의 축약형은 wanna가 됩니다.

long : want to (원 투) -> short : wanna (워너)

long : want to (원 투) -> short : wanna (워너)

long : I want to leave now. -> short : I wanna leave now.
long : I want to go with you. -> short : I wanna go with you.
long : Do you want to go home? -> short : Do you wanna go home?
long : I don't want to go there. -> short : I don't wanna go there.

long : Do they want to go skiing? -> short : Do they wanna go skiing?
long : Doesn't he want to do it? -> short : Doesn't he wanna do it?
long : What do you want to do? -> short : What do you wanna do?
