Greatest generation
Got busy baby booming
They got it all
when the war was done
And made daughters and sons
That great generation
Is slowly sadly passing on

A coward's son would call him
But he was no coward

Met my mother on a New York night
She was born in Atlanta
in the heat of July
Both loving life
parents were denied
Till they saw my brother's eyes
