I yearn for the stream
the quiet dance of its water
I long to walk barefoot
on the wet ground
to meet the dawn
the forest animals
to be blessed thereby
I yearn for the wild
for the place untouched
where I am one with nature
silently striding
exhilarated, swept
amidst a thousand shades of green
The earth whispers
poems to the grass
I yearn for the stream
the rich sound sweetened peace
The wind kisses the leaves, caressing
sculpturing quietude in me
I yearn for the wild
for the place untouched
